In 2005 our atelier was invited by the municipality of Amersfoort to design and realize artwork for the park in a new residential area, Vathorst. Vathorst is an extensive housing project being developed between 2000-2014 in Amersfoort. I was asked to design a dominant focal point in the park . This park was designed by West 8 architects in a Japanese style. I designed for this place a composition of three huge ceramic gates as a symbolic entry to the park. It creates a space for relaxation and compensates the inhabitants of this new densely populated area for the lost countryside. The gates will be placed in August 2009
